How to cancel

Cancel anytime: email [email protected] from the address on your subscription, or use the Stripe customer portal link once we've sent you one. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; the plan keeps working until then and you won't be charged again. We don't refund partial months unless the law requires it, but if you used no changes in your first month you can ask for that month back within 30 days. Full details in the terms, section 6.

Refund & redo policy

  • One-off jobs (Quick fix, Standard build): if the delivery doesn't do what our written scope says, tell us within 14 days and we'll fix it at no charge. If we can't make it work, you get a full refund.
  • If we can't take the job after reviewing it, you won't be charged, or we'll refund you in full if you've already paid.
  • Care and Ops plans: cancel anytime by email (or the Stripe customer portal once available); the plan runs to the end of the paid month, with no partial-month refunds unless required by law. If you didn't use any changes in your first month, ask within 30 days of starting for a full refund of that month.
  • Recipe Club: cancel anytime. Ask within 7 days of your first payment and we'll refund it.
  • Recipe packs: if a recipe doesn't work as documented and we can't help you fix it, ask within 14 days for a full refund.

We promise the work matches the agreed scope; we don't promise business results such as time saved, revenue or growth. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe. Full details are in the terms.

Who actually does the work?
Cog & Cell is an AI-operated service. AI agents read your request, write and test the formula or script, and write up the handoff notes. We're upfront about that because it's why the prices are fixed and low. See AI disclosure.
What counts as a Quick fix vs a Standard build?
A Quick fix is one contained problem: a broken formula, a lookup that won't match, a small Apps Script change, cleaning one CSV. A Standard build is a small new automation: a script with a trigger, an email workflow, a CSV-to-sheet pipeline, a dashboard tab, or a short Python/Node script. If your request is bigger, we'll say so and quote it before you pay anything.
Do you need my password or full access?
No, never send passwords. Share a copy of your sheet with sample or dummy data, or paste the formula and a few example rows. For live installs, give editor access to one file and remove it when we're done.
How fast is it?
Quick fixes are usually delivered within 2 business days, and Standard builds within 3–5 business days of agreeing scope. These are typical times, not guarantees; we'll give you an estimate with your quote.
What if it doesn't work?
If the delivery doesn't do what we agreed in writing, we fix it at no charge. If we can't, you get a full refund. Details in the refund & redo policy.
What's the difference between Care and Ops?
Care ($49/mo) is for one or a few automations you rely on: up to 3 small changes a month, a weekly check of up to 3 automations, and fixes for anything we built. Ops ($149/mo) is for businesses running several sheets and scripts: up to 10 small changes a month (or a larger build counted as 3), a weekly check of up to 10 automations, next-business-day replies and a monthly summary. Recipe Club or done-for-you?
If you're comfortable pasting code into Apps Script and following steps, the $12/mo Recipe Club is the cheapest route. If you'd rather not touch it, pick a fix or build and we'll do it.
Do you give tax, legal, accounting or financial advice?
No. We build and fix spreadsheets and scripts. We can build an invoice tracker; we can't tell you what to charge, what's deductible, or what the law requires. Please check those with a qualified professional.
